We've Updated Our Privacy Policy (Again)

Every week I get an email from a company I haven't interacted with since 2014, letting me know they've made 'important updates' to their privacy policy. The email is always written like we're close friends.

They always frame it as a benefit to me. 'We are improving your experience!' No you're not. You just figured out a new way to sell my browsing data to a third-party ad network and you need legal cover.

Of course, there's an 'Agree' button. What happens if I disagree? Nothing. The service just stops working. It's not a choice, it's an ultimatum dressed up as a courtesy notice.
